David Perry's Game Designer's Reference Guide is a wide-ranging project intended to benefit anyone involved in (or planning to get involved in) video game design. This project approaches game design from several directions. One of its fundamental elements is the inclusion of reference lists that can be useful resources for game designers at any point in the design process. Other elements describe techniques or skills that are useful in designing games, but not always considered in the context of teaching game design - such as how to write comedy or how to make things scary.

We will be releasing the book in print.
